Occupational Health Services
With over 25 years of occupational health service experience, AnovaWorks is uniquely qualified to deliver exceptional, comprehensive occupational health and wellness care, along with ongoing occupational monitoring, surveillance, and proactive health management programs designed to improve workplace safety and employee well-being.
The AnovaWorks Medical Team includes licensed and certified Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurses, Medical Assistants and Medical Technicians. Quality Assurance and oversight is led by Dr. Shoshanna Miller who is Board certified in Occupational Medicine and is licensed to practice medicine in WA State.
- Work Injury & Workers Comp Claim Management- AnovaWorks provides and/or coordinates treatment for employees injured on the job site. Work injury services encompass injury and illness diagnosis, treatment recommendations and/or referrals if deemed necessary, follow-up care, case management support, and safe return to work plans. Our goal is rapid return to work with an attempt to avoid any time away from work. Workers compensation cases will be managed from opening to close. 
- Light Primary Care- AnovaWorks will evaluate, and provide limited treatment, of common illnesses and injuries that are personal in nature. AnovaWorks providers will provide education and support including recommendations to primary care or specialists for ongoing personal care. 
- Medications- In addition to providing medically necessary prescriptions, the AnovaWorks clinic stocks basic over the counter (non-prescriptions) medications so we are able to provide 1-2 days of treatment to patients at the time of visit. 
Employee Physicals & Surveillance Exams
AnovaWorks provides a full range of occupational health evaluations to help employers maintain compliance, ensure employee safety, and support overall wellness. From pre-employment and return-to-work exams to DOT certifications, medical surveillance, and wellness screenings, our licensed medical team delivers thorough, efficient assessments. We also coordinate laboratory testing and imaging to provide complete, streamlined care.
- Pre-Employment Exams- AnovaWorks can collaborate to provide pre-employment exams in accordance with medical requirements specific to an employee’s job description. We provide a medical opinion and qualification status letter for each employee 
- Return-to-Work Evaluations- AnovaWorks providers are trained in return to work evaluations. These can be performed, at the company’s request for both work related and personal return to work issues. AnovaWorks experience with the RTW process enables us to return your employee back to work as soon and safely as possible. 
- DOT Health Exams- AnovaWorks providers are DOT certified medical examiners. We often have same-day availability to schedule and complete these exams. 
- Medical Surveillance Exams- Anovaworks is proficient in performing medical surveillance and health monitoring examinations for employees who are at risk of exposure to hazardous materials such as beryllium, asbestos and lead. Our surveillance exam processes adhere to both DOE and OSHA rules and regulations. 
- Wellness Exams- We offer general, annual physical exams. Service options include a basic exam and vital signs, screening blood work, and ECG. Recommendations will be made for any abnormal findings or for maintenance exams such as mammograms or colonoscopies. 
- Coordination with Laboratories- AnovaWorks contracts with two beryllium testing labs, NJH and Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE). These laboratories analyze BeLPT samples collected by AnovaWorks. AnovaWorks also maintains a contract with Quest Diagnostics and LabCorp that includes their full laboratory catalog. 
- Coordination with Imaging- AnovaWorks has contracts in place with Inland Imaging for management of necessary imaging studies. 
Health Screening Tests & Procedures
AnovaWorks provides a full range of occupational health evaluations to help employers maintain compliance, ensure employee safety, and support overall wellness. From pre-employment and return-to-work exams to DOT certifications, medical surveillance, and wellness screenings, our licensed medical team delivers thorough, efficient assessments. We also coordinate laboratory testing and imaging to provide complete, streamlined care.
- Hearing Testing & Protection- AnovaWorks’ CAOHC-certified providers conduct hearing tests per federal and state regulations using a mobile audiometer platform that meets ANSI S3.6-1996 standards. Tests measure air conduction hearing thresholds at 500–6000 Hz. Customized hearing protection fittings are provided in compliance with OSHA standards. 
- Spirometry- AnovaWorks providers are NIOSH-certified to perform spirometry/ pulmonary function testing (PFT) for medical clearance and respiratory assessment, overseeing the program to ensure compliance with all testing policies. 
- Electrocardiogram- AnovaWorks ensures all staff are well trained and produce valid, reliable results through clear clinic processes and required competencies before performing ECGs independently. 
- Vision Testing- Many medical surveillance programs require vision screening. Our providers are trained in vision testing and regulatory requirements. Results are reviewed against standards, and medical clearance is withheld if requirements aren’t met. 
- Drug & Alcohol Testing- AnovaWorks providers are DOT-certified to conduct urine, saliva, hair, and breath alcohol testing. We also offer MRO services. Our Drug and Alcohol Manager can create customized programs for your company’s needs. We currently manage programs for agencies including Pacific Northwest National Laboratories, the Hanford Department of Energy, and hundreds of Washington State DOT-certified truck drivers. 
- Immunizations- Basic immunizations such as tetanus, hepatitis B, and hepatitis A are available if required. Additional vaccines are offered with advance notice. 
- Phlebotomy- AnovaWorks staff is fully trained and certified to provide in-clinic blood draws as well as on-site sample collection. Therefore, we are not only to offer these services in our clinic, we may also be able to perform them at your convenience, at your site.
